My head had been feeling like a hangover, so dehydration was still an issue. Another factor of the salt thing is that, when you’re dehydrated, your body doesn’t absorb plain water very well. That’s why sports drink has a certain amount of salt in it. So I made a few of my [...]

Woke up feeling at least functional today. Had a panadeine forte last night at bedtime, which meant I didn’t wake up sore in the middle of the night which helped, but I think also that I have passed some healing threshold. I’m not great by any means, but I’m able to get up and [...]

First movie I watched was off my own list, Walk the Line, based on the autobiographies of Johnny Cash. I really liked this, Johnny Cash is none too clean of reputation, but pulled himself out of a hole and got it back together. It would be interesting to read the actual stories as [...]

Well, for all my nervousness it was all very routine. As Bernie pointed out to me the night before, the time between checking in and actually going to surgery is the worst.
The anaesthetist was a very happy fellow, unsurprisingly hehe, and he hooked me up with a little something to relax me, I barely [...]
